The Yonge Bloor Bay Business Association was established in 1920 to promote the development of the Yorkville Community as a desirable shopping, business, professional, commercial and residential community
Rich in history the village of Yorkville was founded in 1830 by Joseph Bloor. Ninety years after its founding, the Yonge Bloor Bay Business Association was established to enrich the lives of all those that work and live in the greater Yorkville community. In 2010, the Yonge Bloor Bay Business Association celebrates 90 years with the introduction of a new logo and brand identity; a welcoming place for business.
Since its inception, Yorkville has always been the centre of Toronto's Cultural Revolution, a celebration of life through the arts, design, fashion and food. Yorkville is a destination for tourists, celebrities, global brands, businesses and residential living; from the hippie heartland in the 60s to one of Canada's most exclusive shopping, business and residential communities.

To establish a memorial dedicated to the 4,200 Toronto Army, Air Force and Navy Servicemen during World War II.
Long standing YBB member, Honorary Director, and Yorkville businessman, John Feeley, is a World War II Air Force veteran who flew with the Royal Canadian Air Force part of 'six group'. Throughout the years John has volunteered his time to visit schools and talk to children about the experiences of war and the men and women of Toronto who paid the highest cost for the freedom that we enjoy today.
It is Johns vision that a memorial be created to honour Torontonians who died in action in World War II as no such tribute currently exists. Whether virtual or physical or another form, the memorial would raise awareness of this community and affect countless people.
This committee is a work in progress. All persons interested in becoming involved with this project are welcome to contact the YBB office.
