Critical Issues
Click here to read the updated "Critical Issues " PDF
One of the critical issues our community faces is neighbourhood commercial property tax reform. We have launched our "Don't Let Yorkville Die" campaign. Our objective is to safeguard the charm and ambiance of our neighbourhood by protecting three-storey street-front buildings -- where shops and restaurants reside -- from punishing and business-killing realty taxes. We are urging our neighbours to support the property tax reform proposal to save those buildings by contacting their provincial and municipal representatives with their concerns.
